"huli na lima ilalo" turn hands downward , a Hawaiian olelo noeau (proverb) promoting hard work, self-sufficiency, and direct engagement with the aina.
Come enjoy the majestic sights and serene sounds of Kekele as we malama aina and each other...
current hana (work): treat and remove invasives... plant and propagate natives... learn from the aina... connect to creation...
IMPORTANT : KIONAOLE ROAD CLOSURE!
A large sinkhole is being repaired on Kionalole Road. Please take Hoomaluhia Botanical Gardens via Lukuku Road. Even if the gardens are closed, access to our property will be open. If asked, tell the guard you are going to Koolau Ballrooms. You'll be traveling thru the entire gardens road. Keep going past the roadsign that says "local traffic only". It's about a 15 minute extra drive through some beautiful scenery, exiting onto Kionalole Road next to the HECO station. Continue on Kionaole to the property. MAHALO!!
